RESIDENTIAL DESIGN

Designing a home is a multi-phase process that starts with a concept and culminates in the construction of a space that your family will love and enjoy.  D3 Designs provides design services that seamlessly walk you through each step:

 

• Pre-Design:  The scope of work is determined and measurements are taken to develop an as-built set of plans that will be used as a starting point for the new design.  Collaboration with surveyors, civil engineers, and permitting agencies are also included in the pre-design process.

• Design Development:  New plans are created that showcase both the interior and exterior walls, roof design and finishes to be used in many areas of the home, such as the windows, doors, and exterior materials.  

 

• Construction Drawings:  Once the designs are finalized, structural drawings are created and details are added to create a set of plans that can be used for construction and submitted for permits.  

 

• Permit Processing:   Plans and applications are submitted to local permitting agencies to include:  HOA, planning departments, sanitary districts, and building departments.

 

• Site Visits: Ongoing communication with client and contractors throughout the building process.
